Warning Description: Wind Advisory

Warning Date: 2:49 PM MDT on October 9, 2007

WarningSum:...Wind Advisory Remains In Effect Until 6 Pm Mdt /5 Pm Pdt/ This
Afternoon...

Warning Message:The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a Wind
Advisory for the Idaho portion of the Treasure valley and for
Baker County in Oregon through 6 PM MDT /5 PM PDT/ this
afternoon.
Sustained southeast winds will continue this afternoon near 30
mph with gusts to 40 mph due to a deep Pacific storm off the
northwest coast. Strongest winds will be in higher canyons and
valleys oriented southeast to northwest where gusts will reach 45
to 50 mph. Winds will decrease late today as the main Pacific
storm moves north.
A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds around 35 mph...and/or
gusts between 45 mph and 57 mph...are expected. Winds this strong
can make driving difficult...especially for high profile
vehicles. Use extra caution.
